Job Title: Electrical Test EngineerJob Location: Cupertino, CA -OnsiteJob Description: Key Responsibilities • TestBench Setup & Validation o Design, assemble, and maintain EE test benches for board bring-up, characterization, and regression. o Create test schematics/block diagrams; manage signal integrity, power distribution, grounding, and measurement paths. o Configure test environments for analog, power, RF (if applicable), and digital subsystems. • Lab Tools & Instrumentation o Operate and automate oscilloscopes, SMUs, DMMs, power supplies, electronic loads, spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, thermal chambers, and DAQs. o Use lab software and interfaces (SCPI, VISA, GPIB, USB, LAN) to control instruments and log data. o Calibrate and maintain lab equipment; enforce ESD and safety standards. • Python Scripting & Test Metrics Plotting o Develop Python scripts (e.g., pyvisa, numpy, pandas, matplotlib/seaborn) for data capture, analysis, and automated reporting. o Generate test metrics and plots (time-domain, FFT, histograms, pass/fail summaries, trends, CPK, yield dashboards). o Build reusable modules for test sequencing, data pipelines, and CI integration (e.g., CLI tools, JSON/CSV outputs). • Test Plans & Execution o Author and execute test plans, procedures, fixtures, and checklists aligned to requirements. o Perform board bring-up, functional validation, characterization, and RCA for failures. o Document results in clear reports with plots and recommendations; present to cross-functional stakeholders. • Quality & Process o Drive repeatability, traceability, and version control for test scripts and configurations (Git). o Contribute to DFT/DFM/DFX feedback loops and continuous improvement of test coverage and throughput. Required Qualifications • B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (or related). • Hands-on EE test bench setup and board bring-up experience. • Strong lab tools experience: oscilloscopes, PSUs, DMMs, SMUs, loads, analyzers; instrument automation via SCPI/VISA. • Proficiency in Python for test automation and test metrics plotting (numpy, pandas, matplotlib/seaborn; Jupyter optional). • Solid understanding of analog/digital fundamentals, power electronics basics, and measurement accuracy (BW, noise, resolution). • Experience creating test reports and visualizations for engineering and management audiences
