TheNetwork Operations Center (NOC) is staffed 7x24 and is tasked with Monitoring,Awareness and Notifications of all Technical infrastructure(Network/WiFi/Compute/Application-Services) availability, events and anomalies.Consequently, the NOC requires a tool development resource to maintain, updateand create tools, alerting mechanisms, dashboards and reports in support of theNOCs mission. System administration as it relates to Tooldevelopment, configuration, customization, and training for SolarWinds (UCTeam). Primary areas of expertise included: Systemadministration and configuration of NPM, NTA, NCM, IPAM tomanage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches,firewalls, and load balancers. in support of the technologyinfrastructure specific to the support role of the NOC. ConfigurationManagement Repository This is an IndividualContributor role; must be fully competent to work under general direction. knowledgeof business or function for which application is designed (Networks, NetworkMonitoring, Network Metrics, etc.). Integration with ServiceNow and othertoolsets preferred. JobDescription: Recommend, Design and Integrate monitoring/ alerting solutions within SolarWinds with ServiceNow integration. Experience with creating / modifying customized dashboards leveraging Power BI / SolarWinds SQL Tables a must Perform requirements gathering necessary to design and build infrastructure / applications enterprise monitoring systems. Perform analysis and make recommendations on tools design that meets industry best practice for monitoring and troubleshooting. Validate the system for functionality, performance, fault tolerance and operational readiness. Work closely with operational support teams such as Network, Windows, and Cyber Security to provide a holistic monitoring solution. Execute detailed network / server discovery, device monitoring, topology visualization Assist with identifying root cause analysis (RCA) capabilities. Identify issues, develop, and maintain processes that address and resolve them, (and be sure to communicate/alert stakeholders as needed). Assist to make enhancements (SolarWinds) and troubleshoot issues as they occur. Proactively put forward ideas that support operational & project objectives (e.g., development, testing solutions, and tools). • Maintain runbooks, logs, and records in accordance with ITIL best practices via Service Now. Stay on top of state-of-health monitoring and SLA targets. Perform special projects and initiatives as assigned. Preferredskills: • 3+ years of hands-on experience with enterpriseMonitoring and Observability platforms, including implementation,customization, and operational support. • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SolarWindsMonitoring Solutions (required), including core components, platformarchitecture, alerting, reporting, and performance optimization. • Strong hands-on experience integrating andsupporting monitoring tools, including: oSolarWinds oServiceNow (event, incident, and workflowintegrations) • Experience with advanced monitoring andcorrelation platforms such as Datadog and BigPanda (highly desirable). • Working knowledge of Syslog and SNMP v2/v3,including: oTrap forwarding and receiving oConfiguration, validation, and troubleshooting • Proven experience in automation of repeatablemonitoring tasks, including: oEvent and alert automation oReport generation and scheduling withinSolarWinds • Ability to diagnose and resolve complextechnical issues across infrastructure, applications, and network monitoringdomains. • Experience in configuring and managing: oMonitoring profiles oPolling policies oThresholds and alert conditions • Platform administration experience supportinglarge-scale, enterprise monitoring environments, ensuring stability,scalability, and performance. • Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinateacross multiple monitoring tools and integrations in a hybrid environment. • Strong collaboration skills with the ability tocoordinate effectively with SolarWinds Platform Administrators, infrastructureteams, and operations stakeholders.
