Description Conduct assessments of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational insights. Design tailored treatment plans reflecting both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Engage with a multidisciplinary team-including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families-to formulate comprehensive care strategies. Provide educational resources for patients and families to reinforce treatment progress beyond clinical encounters. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the therapeutic journey. Keep precise records and documentation that meet state, federal, and organizational standards. Remain abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaborative engagement with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment. Skills Thorough understanding of evidence-based treatment methodologies applicable to all ages, coupled with a robust grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication abilities for interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
