Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients through standardized assessments and keen observational methods. Create tailored treatment strategies focusing on short and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Implement individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language proficiency, fluency, vocal skills, and swallowing functions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members, to devise holistic care plans. Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond the confines of clinical therapy. Facilitate occasional evaluations and interventions in an inpatient setting, ensuring seamless patient care throughout their recovery journey. Ensure precise and timely documentation in accordance to state, federal, and organizational requirements. Keep abreast of advancements in the profession through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet holding ASHA certification. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days post-employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based methodologies for various age groups, coupled with an in-depth understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication abilities with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary care teams. Skill in adjusting therapeutic approaches to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills rooted in clinical judgment.
