Facility Security-Control Officer (Part-Time)

Job Title: Facility Security- Control Officer (Part-Time) Department: Security Reports To: Security Manager FLSA Status: Hourly, Part-Time Non-Exempt Position Summary The Facility Security Officer (Part-Time) is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, employees, and property at the SNHU Arena. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all events and activities within the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols throughout the facility and surrounding areas. Respond promptly and effectively to all security and safety-related incidents. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty. Adhere to all department performance, conduct, and attendance standards. Investigate and document incidents accurately and thoroughly in written reports. Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing arena policies and procedures. Follow all instructions from the Security Supervisors, Security Manager, and Director of Security. Maintain confidentiality of patron, employee, and company information. Perform additional duties as assigned. Any other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years of related experience in security, law enforcement, or event operations preferred. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check. Valid driver's license required. Strong judgment and decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to stay calm and professional when interacting with distressed or emotional individuals. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of written and spoken English required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Must be able to perform duties both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather. Frequent talking, hearing, and visual attention required. Must be able to respond quickly in emergency or high-stress situations.
