Job Description The Research Assistant will provide technical and research administrative support for faculty-led projects in biosensing, nanofabrication, microsystems (MICS), and related electrical and computer engineering and computer science research areas. This position supports sponsored research and workforce development initiatives by assisting with laboratory fundraising, research documentation, project coordination, program partnerships, and financial support. The role operates in a highly collaborative environment involving faculty, graduate students, undergraduate researchers, and external partners. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, Information Technology, or related STEM field; OR equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience. • Demonstrated experience working in a technical, laboratory, or research environment. • Proven history of strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation in structured technical settings. • Work history of familiarity with research data organization practices. • Work history showing proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and comfort working with shared digital repositories. • Work history of strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting sponsored research in ECE, CS, or related engineering discipline. • Exposure to laboratory environments involving cleanroom processes, microfabrication, biosensing systems, embedded systems, or similar technical areas. • Experience assisting with research and fundraising proposals, or technical report preparation. • work history of knowledge of university research compliance processes. • Experience supporting interdisciplinary research teams.
