Job Description Position Summary The Patient Access Program Manager is an essential member of the Patient Access Corporate Services team and will report directly to the Administrator, Patient Access Services. The Program Manager will provide subject matter expertise to ensure compliance with federal, state, local and organizational guidelines and polices related to registration, scheduling, referrals, authorizations and point of service collections. Responsibilities The PM adopts a mindset of continuous improvement and commitment to enhancing service delivery to patients/customers. Establishes programs designed to enhance job performance, operational efficiency and cost effective delivery of services to achieve organizational and divisional goals. The PM will be responsible for demonstrating a commitment to supporting the business needs of Patient Access Services by: -Collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure adaption and compliance of existing systems, standards and processes. -Partnering with leaders to redesign and implement system enhancements to meet dynamically changing business and regulatory requirements. -Identifying and recommending opportunities to leverage existing applications and equipment and/or new and emerging technologies. -Providing sound analytics and solutions around general reimbursement trends and access barriers. -Monitoring and reporting program performance and results against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and industry standards. -Supporting development and implementation of collateral and processes, including but not limited to standard operating procedures, work instructions, reference documents, business rules, templates and training presentations. -Leading organization systems for designing and measuring work processes. -Participating upon request in various meetings or communications with cross functional teams. -Conducting and/or coordinating post-implementation audits to ensure that application systems and technologies are fully and appropriately utilized. Plays a critical role leading the implementation and optimization of Epic Vendor applications such as, Cadence/Prelude, Scheduling, Referrals, Real Time Eligibility, and other non-clinical departmental applications and related third party systems that will optimize business unit operations resulting in improved performance. Plans, communicates, leads, and coordinates the implementation and use of new content, designs, upgrades, functions, features, products, etc. with all affected areas and users in advance of production deployment. Provide support as required to the Administrator to assist in the fulfillment of his/her responsibilities. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or Business Analytics required. 5 years of Revenue Cycle experience in a tertiary care setting. One additional year of leadership or management experience in a health care or related setting may substitute for one year of education with a maximum substitution of two years. Knowledge of healthcare-based applications. Strong analytical skills. Ability to be flexible and collaborative to identify and solve problems. Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
