Catering Driver - Virginia State University

Overview 1. Job Summary The Driver is responsible for transporting food and supplies to various dining locations across campus. This role includes preparing orders for delivery, loading and unloading vehicles, navigating routes efficiently, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries. The Delivery Driver is also expected to uphold high standards of customer service and represent the company professionally during all interactions. Compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures is essential. 2. Key Responsibilities Responds to transport requests and meets delivery time goals. Follow department protocols using dispatch system appropriately. Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations. Completes necessary logs and reports. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Resolves or reports on vehicle, building, security, or safety issues to management. Performs other duties as assigned. 3. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Reach, bend, and stoop occasionally.
