Shipping & Receiving Material Handler

Our client is a manufacturer of strap, stretch, and protective packaging consumables, tools, and equipment in Bridgeview, IL. They are currently hiring a Shipping and Receiving Material Handler. This is a temp-to-perm position! The hours are 7am- 3pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturday's as needed Pay will start at $19.10/hour The shipping and receiving material handler position is responsible for all shipping and receiving functions of the facility, ensuring inbound and outbound deliveries are accurate and timely. Shipping-Receiving material handler is responsible for maintaining housekeeping for the area and keeping raw material organized. What will you do: Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, and supervisor. Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records including incoming and outgoing products, goods returned, damaged product. Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions. Prepares proper paperwork for shipments. Transports materials on a shipping dock with a clamp truck or forklift as needed. Ensuring the accuracy of both incoming and outgoing bills of lading (BOL). Verifying that the pallet tags on finished goods accurately reflect the product on the pallet(s) when putting pallet(s) away in warehouse and prior to shipment.
