Your path to a rewarding career starts here!Materials Manager at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare Mansfield:The Materials Manager is responsible for the process, which includes inventory control: ordering all medical supplies, maintaining an appropriate inventory of all medical supplies, receiving and stocking of all medical supplies to their assigned area. Provides support to the surgical team and provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility. Communicates appropriate information to other team members. May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager.Responsibilities include: Coordinates receiving, processing, distributing, and storing of suppliesEnsures healthy flow throughout supply chainMonitor and manage repairs of equipmentMaintains and coordinates the inventory systemPerforms other duties as requested by managementFinancial analysis as required to support department goalsEffectively coordinates with the clinical and business managers, administrative director, physicians and ancillary departments on all issues relating to patient care and specialty requirements and coordinates procurement of specialty equipment as indicatedPlans, coordinates and manages all functions associated with Materials Management Supply Qualifications: Previous 1-2 year in Materials Management experience and/or experience as a scrub tech, Central Supply tech.Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a team environment as well as independentlyStrong attention to detailAbility to assist with contract managementGeneral understanding of medical supply equipmentProficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel What We OfferAs an organization, one way we care for our communities and each other is by providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes the following, subject to employment status: Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverageLife and AD&D coverageAvailability of short- and long-term disabilityFlexible financial benefits including FSAs and HSAs401(k) and access to retirement planningPaid holidays and vacation Who We AreAt USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
