Job Title: Director of Data & Technology in Clinical Operations Job Introduction: The Director of Data & Technology in Clinical Operations leads all technology, data, and operational enablement functions that support Parexel's Clinical Operations. This crucial role oversees systems, integrations, data flows, and reporting readiness while aligning operational technology with clinical operational goals. The Director partners closely with various groups within Data & Technology, Clinical leadership, OEDI, Procurement, and executive stakeholders across the business. Who We Are Looking For: We seek a dynamic and driven individual with a proven track record in clinical operations technology, operational delivery, or leadership within the life sciences industry. This leader will shape and execute operational systems that enhance study startup, execution, monitoring, and closeout while ensuring performance, compliance, and innovation. What You'll Do: Clinical Operations Technology & Process Leadership Lead as the senior Data & Technology representative responsible for all technology capabilities that support Clinical Operations, including operational systems, workflows, and data pipelines. Guarantee system reliability, user readiness, and optimal operations for global Clinical Operations teams. Align technology initiatives and process improvements with Clinical Operations' goals of enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and reducing cycle time. Integration of Clinical, Safety & Operational Data Oversee the integration of Clinical Operations systems within the larger Data & Technology ecosystem (including data lakes and reporting). Ensure timely and accurate data flows across operational technologies involved in clinical execution, safety, regulatory, and cross-functional processes. Clinical Systems Lifecycle Ownership Manage maintenance, upgrades, validation, and enhancement of Clinical Operations-related platforms. Ensure compliance with validation, SDLC, and quality frameworks. Oversee the retirement, consolidation, and introduction of new capabilities according to enterprise standards. Cross-Functional Governance & Strategic Alignment Represent Clinical Operations in enterprise governance forums, such as Data Governance and Operational Excellence. Lead prioritization discussions for all Clinical Operations technology requests in coordination with PMO/Portfolio teams. Ensure initiatives related to Clinical Operations align with broader Data & Technology strategies and operational goals. Team Leadership & Organizational Development Lead a global team of managers, business systems analysts, product owners, and engineers supporting Clinical Operations. Create career development paths aligned with operational, data, and system leadership needs. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration across operations and technology teams. Skills: Executive leadership with strong influence across Clinical Operations, Safety, OEDI, Regulatory, and Technology sectors. In-depth knowledge of clinical trial processes, technology workflows, and operational KPIs. Expertise in clinical systems, workflow automation, and operational data. Exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and organizational design abilities. Proficient in matrix leadership and cross-functional decision-making. Knowledge and Experience: Over 15 years of experience in clinical operations technology and operational leadership roles within life sciences. Proven capability in overseeing operational systems that support study execution and closeout. Experience leading cross-functional teams in regulated environments. Detailed knowledge of safety, regulatory, and operational data lifecycles. Experience with enterprise integration technologies, data lakes, and clinical reporting environments. Education: Bachelor's degree required in Life Sciences, Engineering, Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
