Pesticide Operations Specialist FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Join our vibrant team as a Pesticide Operations Specialist, playing a crucial role in managing our pesticide application operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to work closely with the Owner, Operations Manager, or Production Manager to ensure efficient communication around operations, training, and planning. You will have the exciting chance to supervise crew members while managing equipment and materials, making a real impact within our organization. Main Responsibilities Client Engagement Represent our organization with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. Respond swiftly to client needs, ensuring they are satisfied with our services. Communicate clearly with clients regarding the products used and the operations performed. Inform management of any client concerns that arise during operations. Conduct site inspections to advise clients on potential liabilities and provide essential information regarding applications that may affect their business operations. Safety Leadership Foster and maintain a consistently safe working environment for all team members. Ensure compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements mandated by safety regulations. Aim for zero preventable accidents by following established safety protocols. Participate in weekly safety meetings and educate crew members on effective safety practices. Securely store all products in accordance with local, state, federal, and OSHA regulations. Brand Compliance Maintain the service vehicle and equipment in a clean and professional state. Equipment Oversight Safely operate pressurized spray equipment and essential field equipment. Maintain all assigned equipment to ensure proper functionality and adherence to maintenance schedules. Keep equipment secure, clean, and in optimal working order. Quality Assurance Use the Quality Control Inspection Form to accurately document on-site conditions. Ensure all tasks meet specifications, preserving client satisfaction for potential contract renewals. Administer treatments that enhance or protect the quality of turf and plant materials. Field Operations Apply a variety of products (fertilizers, herbicides, etc.) following company guidelines and best industry practices. Set up and operate spray equipment effectively for optimal treatment application. Administrative Duties Accurately interpret and follow written and verbal instructions. Organize work schedules for maximum operational efficiency. Complete all necessary documentation and reports pertaining to safety, quality control, and equipment maintenance. In this role, you'll keep abreast of industry standards and regulations regarding proper pesticide handling and safety protocols. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential. We seek self-reliant candidates who are capable of independently handling tasks when required. Typical Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess effective communication skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the physical capability to perform job duties, which may include lifting up to 60 pounds and working in various weather conditions.
