This unique opportunity allows you to provide high-quality nursing care in a federal government health setting, serving a diverse patient population. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (community college, junior college, college, university, or vocational program) approved by the appropriate state agency and accredited by NLNAC or CCNE Current and valid unrestricted LPN license in one U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association) At least 1 year of LPN experience after graduation Must meet Exhibit 5 requirements for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (per contract standards) Contract Details: $1,178 - $1,250 per weekLocation - Arlington, VA Setting - Federal Government Health Clinic 13 week contract, with possibility to extend 40 hours per week Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care to variable populations, using sound judgment to determine the order of care, treatments, and procedures Accurately assess, observe, and document patient conditions, reporting significant changes to the RN or physician Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and IV) Recognize and respond to urgent or emergent patient care needs, initiating emergency interventions as directed Support diagnostic and specialized procedures, including preparing patients, assisting during exams, and handling specialized instruments or equipment Educate patients and families regarding care plans, treatments, and health practices What We Offer: Full medical, dental, vision, life, and even pet insurance!
