Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Allied Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity:Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology Job Details:• Work 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM• May work until 5:00 PM or later based on case load and census• No call during the week, weekend call if needed• Float to other departments as required based on staff and census• Perform routine and advanced nuclear medicine imaging procedures• Support other imaging technologists as needed• Facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow• Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance and participate in quality assurance• Resolve issues related to image processing and archiving systems• Maintain radiation safety protocols while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals• Complete daily logs and periodic tests as required by license• Ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS• Follow PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser• Required: Graduate of accredited Radiology Technology school• Required: Nuclear Medicine Technology certification (N) by ARRT or NMTCB• Required: Texas state licensure (MRT by TMB)• Required: BLS certification (AHA only)• Preferred: 1 year clinical nuclear medicine experience• Basic computer experience required Facility:This healthcare organization is a major medical center providing comprehensive nuclear medicine and radiology services to the community.
