We Honor Hospice Veterans

We Honor Veterans Gentiva Hospice is seeking volunteers for a variety of positions which include everything from Companionship Volunteers to helping with administrative duties in our offices. Training will be provided. We Honor Veterans serves as an additional support to patients whom are Veterans and, families dealing with a terminal illness and end-of-life issues. Support is provided in a variety of ways, including companionship and socialization to patients. We offer pinning ceremonies and certificates bedside to our Veteran Patients. Our volunteers provide companionship at a patient’s bedside, to running errands, and from assisting with creating gifts for patients and their families. Hold a hand, share a story Make phone calls Listen, read, or sing Make gifts for patients Run errands or perform light housekeeping Share flowers, bake, or garden Send a card Attend community events We currently have patients in Forsyth County Iredell County Alexander County Catawba County Davidson County Gaston County Lincoln County Mecklenburg County Rowan County Wilkes County Yadkin County Davie County
