Collaborate with the department manager to meet sales and profit goals, while ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards. Be a role model for our company's core values: respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Responsibilities: Foster an atmosphere of trust and respect among associates. Create a welcoming environment for customers by providing knowledgeable answers regarding products in our department and the entire store. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers and store personnel. Have a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical products to competently make recommendations to patients and prescribers. Receive and accurately document verbal RX orders, adhering to all State and Federal laws and regulations. Interpret, fill, label, and bag prescription orders accurately, considering patient safety and legal requirements. Provide drug counseling to customers and prescribers. Be knowledgeable in third-party billing and procedures to facilitate customer charges. Maintain accurate records and ensure proper RX information collection and delivery to customers. Make phone calls to prescribers and their office staff as needed. Effectively use the RX computer system. Maintain accurate inventory and manage controlled substances in compliance with proper record-keeping protocols. Actively promote immunizations and engage in clinical activities for which you have been trained. Mentor associates by delegating responsibilities and overseeing supply orders. Ensure proper filing of prescription orders and documentation as per state and federal regulations. Assist with conflict resolution in the absence of the department manager. Run, review, and interpret department reports. Handle administrative responsibilities in the absence of the department manager. Notify management of any customer or employee incidents. Report all pharmacy-related incidents, including miss-fills, within the required timeframes as per the Corporate Accuracy Policy. Address safety risks or illegal activities, including robbery, theft, or fraud. Be able to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs. You must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Minimum: Possess a valid Pharmacist license in the required state, free from stipulations or Board restrictions. Graduate from an accredited US School of Pharmacy or pass a foreign equivalency exam; successfully complete the NAPLEX exam. Desired: Experience as a staff pharmacist. Willingness to work at various locations and the ability to travel independently is essential.
