The Opportunity As an SAP Technology Presales Architect at EY, you will play a vital role in assisting both EY and clients in crafting high-impact, tailored proposals that utilize EY's advanced technological assets and capabilities to optimize business operations. Your Key Responsibilities Client Interaction: Serve as a trusted advisor by gathering and understanding client requirements, translating them into impactful solutions aligned with client needs. You will lead the technology aspect of pursuit teams, leveraging your in-depth technical expertise in SAP technologies. Pursuit Shaping: Take a lead role in the architecture and solution design phases, utilizing your technological knowledge to guide teams through the presales lifecycle and ensure the solutions fit the clients' business objectives. Collaborative Development: Engage with internal stakeholders including Product Owners, Business Owners, EY SAP Delivery Teams, and Global Delivery Services to envision and develop pursuit designs, focusing on EY's SAP capabilities. Essential Functions of the Job: Lead presales and architecture solutions for mid to large-scale projects. Provide thought leadership during deal development and pursuit phases. Understand and integrate SAP products and tools to deliver value-adding solutions for clients. Establish standards for presales to enhance success rates in client pursuits. Create end-to-end solution architectures aligned with client IT roadmaps. Shape RFP responses with insights drawn from technology experience. Conduct thorough analysis and offer actionable recommendations based on recognized needs. Identify current and transition architectures and plan steps to achieve target architectures. Address technology gaps and propose innovative mitigation strategies. Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impacts on the business. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and increased efficiencies. Contribute actively to the Presales community and support the integration of new Technology Presales Architects. Maintain relationships with relevant teams to ensure adherence to approved designs throughout the application lifecycle. Engage with stakeholders on presales issues and propose strategic improvements. Coach business owners and pursuit leads on technology throughout the pursuit lifecycle. Document pursuit architectures and technology roadmaps using the appropriate standards and templates. Proactively identify and address technology issues and risks, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained. Collaborate with Technology Product Teams to influence product priorities based on presales outcomes. Skills and Attributes for Success Strong knowledge of industry solutions and products. Solid technical background in deal development and architecture. Experience in large-scale multi-technology, data, and analytics deals. Comprehensive understanding of applications, infrastructure, digital media, and security. Hands-on experience with technical, data, application, and integration architecture. Experience in RFP responses and crafting client proposals. Skills in solution writing and client presentations. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Strong business acumen with the ability to build strategic relationships and earn trust. Proficiency in identifying technical risks and developing mitigation strategies. Familiarity with portfolio management principles and tools. Organized and methodical, able to navigate uncertainty and risk. Detail-oriented with a rigorous approach to architecture. Leadership and negotiation skills to influence change. Ideally, You Will Also Have Experience in individual contributor roles, demonstrating the ability to influence without authority. Experience working in diverse geographical and cultural contexts. Certifications in Agile Delivery and DevOps. Architectural certifications like TOGAF or IASA. Knowledge of service management frameworks such as ITIL V3/V4. Readiness for regular travel, both domestic and international. Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (BS/MS). At least 15 years of experience in technology and business development.
