Primary Job Duties: Conduct field site visits daily to observe the conditions, ensure field teams have the safety equipment they need, communicate with field teams, conduct documented field safety audits and training. Participate in Pre-Construction Meetings (mobilization) reviewing the EH&S challenges and readiness for the job. Support closing any identified gaps. Provide EH&S support for the Selkirk, New York location, which includes a distribution center and fleet management group. Utilize the identified business tool for field operations/project management, Procore, for required project communication and documentation. Complete required and assigned training, certification(s), licensing, and other learning and development as assigned. To include First Aid/CPR/AED and HAZWOPER. Support compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws; uphold and maintain accountability to all Company policies. Support field operations, Emergency Response readiness, and during an emergency. Contribute to current New Hire Orientation (NHO) EH&S material. Validate all new employees and temporary employees on site have documented completion of the NHO. Create and update training materials which include, but is not limited to, Toolbox Talks, Single Point Lessons and Power Point Presentations. Deliver training content with focus on training the trainers. Keep accurate and up to date training documentation and support addressing gaps in training. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to written documentation, written processes, physical process and safety equipment. Write Site Health and Safety Plans when needed for projects when client required, for project compliance on an EPA regulated site. Review written documentation for Field Operations to ensure EH&S compliance with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), adopted voluntary standards, State OSHA and EPA regulations when applicable, and applicable local or municipal codes. This documentation would include written programs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Job Hazard Analysis. Support environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) investigations involving incidents, near misses, and identified hazards. This includes training supervisors on the use of the company's EHS digital tools, leading or supporting root cause analyses, and collaboratively developing short- and long-term corrective actions. Ensure investigations and corrective actions are thoroughly documented, high quality, reported and closed out in a timely manner. Participate in and support EH&S team goals, objectives and tasks as assigned. Actively participate in EH&S team meetings and training. Work collaboratively and effectively in team settings both virtual and in person. All other duties as assigned. Secondary Accountabilities: Drive up to a one-ton sized truck; must maintain a valid driver's license. OSHA-30 Construction (1926) Card Maintain current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification Maintain current HAZWOPER training In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload. Experience: 2+ years construction or manufacturing EHS. EMS or other medical experience a plus. Licenses/Certifications: OSHA 30, Adult CPR, Valid Driver's License. Physical Requirements Work is primarily outdoors, requiring standing, bending, and lifting up to 60 lbs. Exposure to loud noises and extreme temperatures is common. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory, and verbal communication in English is required. Work Conditions This position involves periodic travel to solar field sites, primarily outdoors in varying weather. Work weeks typically consist of 5.5 days, with hours ranging from 8 to 10 per day. Candidates may be required to respond to emergency situations. Starting salary for this position: $70,000 - $75,000 plus bonus potential, per diem + hotels, and company provided vehicle for candidates residing in the Northeast region (triangulated from Ohio to Maine to Virginia).
