MRI Tech Aide - Outpatient | Fairfax, VA | PRN Fairfax Radiology Centers - the largest radiology practice in Northern Virginia - is looking for a detail-oriented and patient-focused MRI Tech Aide to join our busy MRI Center in Fairfax, Virginia. In this vital support role, you'll assist MRI Technologists with non-clinical tasks, help clarify physician orders, and ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience. Your professionalism, organization, and care will make all the difference in keeping our center running seamlessly - and in making patients feel at ease. About the Role • Location: MRI Center - Fairfax, Virginia • Schedule: PRN Evening shift coverage from 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM • Free on-site parking What You'll Do • Provide outstanding service to patients and families, explaining MRI procedures clearly and compassionately • Set up the MRI suite for exams and assist patients with safe transfers to and from the imaging table • Start IV access prior to procedures (when applicable) • Ensure patient comfort, modesty, and safety throughout the process • Communicate with physician offices to clarify and complete MRI orders • Confirm critical exam details (body part, laterality, contrast use) and request order modifications when appropriate What You'll Bring 1+ years of experience in a medical or radiology office (preferred) Ability to start IVs (highly preferred) Experience in one of the following roles: Medical Assistant MRI/CT Tech Aide ED Tech EMT or Paramedic Nursing Student (after first clinical) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required at hire) High school diploma or equivalent (required) Strong communication skills and a caring, professional demeanor Equal Opportunity Employer FRC is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
