Join our Parks Planning team and you'll participate in numerous aspects of how projects identified in our Master Plan for Parks, Recreation, Cultural Resources, Greenways and Open Space go from concept to reality. The Town of Apex is seeking candidates for multiple Public Service Internship (Parks Planning) positions for 2026-2027. As a fast-growing community in southwestern Wake County, we are a full-service municipality offering a variety of opportunities for students looking to gain professional and practical experience. What You'll Do: Public Service Interns for Parks Planning Internships may: Prepare Illustrations, Documents and Maps using various platforms to provide information for funded projects from the Action + Implementation Plan Review Design Development/Construction Drawings and monitor construction of greenway corridors, and identify funding opportunities for additional miles. Assist in public engagement, project planning, and cost estimation for park/greenway projects. Gain hands-on experience with public planning process through interactions with the Technical Review Committee., Advisory Commission, Planning Board, and Town Council for project approvals.
