DescriptionBilling Specialist | Reliance Community Care Partners Reliance Community Care Partners has a unique opportunity for Billing Specialist to join their team of professionals. This position is based on site in the Wellness Center in Grand Rapids. The team is able to consider either part-time (24 hours per week) or full-time (36-40 hours per week) for this role. We work collaboratively with health care providers, government agencies, insurance providers, legal representatives, and family members to make sure those we serve receive the attention and care they need to live healthy, meaningful, and productive lives. What Will You Do? In the Wellness Center, a behavioral health services clinic, the Billing Specialist prepared Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and private pay billings for services provided to clients. Responsibilities include: Prepare monthly Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and private pay billings for services provided to clients to be billed to 3rd party payers Verifies client insurance information with the appropriate carrier and determines benefits payable Created and maintains automated client account records. Posts charges incurred and payments received and updates records to accurately reflect status changes Contacts all payers regarding unpaid and/or rejected claims. Corrects rejected bills and prepares for rebilling as necessary to assure payment of accounts Assists clients with billing and insurance questions to resolve problem situations Skills to be Successful Flexibility, resiliency, and adaptability Self-directed and autonomous Ability to prioritize Organized and detailed Comfortable with navigating various technologies and computer applications Team player mentality Education and Experience Associates degree in related field At least 2 years of experience in medical insurance billing Efficient and accurate data entry Experience with claims processing software Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD9, CPT, and HCPCS coding Knowledge of 3rd party operating procedures and practices Knowledge of medical billing/collection practices If this rare opportunity interests you, apply today and find out more!
