Field Service Technician / Party Chief

27th February, 2026 Our client, an Architecture/Engineering firm in Rochester, NY, is looking for a Field Service Technician to join their team! This is an onsite in Penfield NY/full-time/direct-hire position Salary based on experience: Up to $80k Responsibilities include, but not limited to: In charge of field survey activities, including: Understanding and executing scope of work for each assignment Providing direction and oversight of instrument operator. Ensuring proper field techniques, and quality checks are taking place. Ensuring proper safety measures are being followed. Provide debriefing to senior office staff after completion of assignment. Field reconnaissance of property evidence. Thorough understanding of the operation of total stations and GNSS equipment. Qualifications: Party Chief: 5+ years' experience in land surveying A Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required. Bachelors or Associates degree in Land Surveying, a plus Experience with NYSDOT survey procedures, a plus Experience with Trimble robotics, a plus Experience with Leica GNSS, a plus Experience with terrestrial LiDAR, a plus Experience with sUAS, a plus Ability to perform physical work (i.e., strenuous walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying / loading equipment, etc.) Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are an equal-opportunity employer.
