Posting Details Position Summary Information Position Title Adjunct Instructor, Skill Trades Employment Category Adjunct Contract Length N/A Expected Work Schedule Variable Anticipated Days Based on Instructor Availability and Community Needs Anticipated Hours Based on Instructor Availability and Community Needs Anticipated Hours per Week up to 25 Job Description Summary A-B Tech is looking for enthusiastic and dependable skilled tradespeople to teach adults in our Workforce Development classes, which train adults for professional employment or to explore continued educational opportunities. These skilled trade classes include topics such as: plumbing, construction craft skills, electrical, HVAC, OSHA, welding, and masonry. Many of these classes are scheduled based on instructor availability, so day, evening, and weekend instructors are welcome to apply. Duties All Trades instructors work with the Coordinator to design courses that will meet the needs of employers and the community. Then, during engaging lectures and hands-on labs, the instructor will provide the training necessary for the students to meet pre-defined learning objectives. During each course, instructors submit all materials for review and approval in addition to maintaining an accurate student roster, attendance sheet and other required records. Minimum Requirements 1. Documented knowledge of subject matter; 2. Where required, maintain license or professional certification; 3. Valid Drivers License. Preferred Qualifications 1. One or more years teaching experience 2. Previous experience teaching adults in a community college setting Special Instructions to Applicants SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS 1.
