Create personalized therapeutic strategies that encompass both short and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver one-on-one speech therapy interventions that enhance communication skills across various domains including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, and family members, to develop a unified approach to patient care. Provide education and resources to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond the clinical environment. Assist in delivering inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments to maintain continuity in patient care. Ensure meticulous documentation that meets all regulatory and organizational standards. Pursue ongoing professional development by engaging in educational opportunities and sharing knowledge with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification by ASHA is not yet achieved. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
