Surgical / Operating Room Tech (Certified Surgical Technologist - CST)Location - Syracuse, NY Position Overview Seeking experienced evening shift Surgical Technologists for a high-acuity Adult Operating Room environment. Candidates must have strong Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced teaching hospital or equivalent acute care facility. This is a hands-on scrub role requiring confidence, speed, and precision with minimal supervision. Shift Details Shifts will include a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour rotations, including: 07:00 - 15:30 11:00 - 19:30 15:00 - 23:30 07:00 - 19:30 11:00 - 23:30 Required Experience Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience (within the last 4 years) Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center or similar teaching hospital Strong scrub experience required Experience in the following specialties: Trauma Orthopedics General Surgery ENT Vascular GYN Neurosurgery Bariatric GU OB scrub experience required First-time travelers considered only if experienced in similarly sized hospitals Key Responsibilities Maintain sterile field in accordance with AORN standards Scrub and assist in complex surgical procedures Prepare surgical instrumentation and specialty equipment Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently Assist with patient positioning and intraoperative safety Support specimen handling and labeling Function independently with minimal orientation Certifications & Requirements Active Surgical Technologist Certification (Required) No First Assist responsibilities (per state regulations) Clean license/certification history (no suspensions or investigations) Must pass pre-employment health clearance Strong interpersonal and communication skills Skills Summary Operating Room Experience: Required Minimum 3 years of experience Surgical Technologist Certification: Required Scrub Experience: Required OB Scrub Experience: Required For more details reach at About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
