GENERAL PURPOSE: The Senior Manager of Endpoint Engineering will lead a team responsible for setting the standards for end-user devices and endpoint management systems across the Ross enterprise. This role demands a robust technical background in end-user computing, endpoint management platforms, and security policies, coupled with strong leadership and project management skills. The base salary for this position ranges from $142,200 to $235,700, based on various factors including experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and geographical location. This range is one component of the total compensation package, which may vary by position and location. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Lead a team of Engineers focused on endpoint engineering and management encompassing desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. Oversee recruitment, retention, and development of team members, ensuring effective mentoring and leadership. Implement an enterprise-wide endpoint strategy for device provisioning, management, security, and support, including OS imaging and patch management. Maintain standards and certifications for end-user compute hardware and related operating systems, particularly Windows OS. Establish best practices for endpoint lifecycle management, from provisioning through decommissioning. Plan and execute projects related to endpoint management, collaborating with IT groups to align strategies with organizational goals. Evaluate, select, and implement endpoint management tools and platforms. Build and sustain strong vendor relationships. Define, develop, and manage strategic and tactical plans while negotiating contracts with partners and service providers. Participate in strategic planning and the annual budgeting process. Provide level 3 production support for endpoint management issues. Minimum 10 years of IT experience with a focus on endpoint engineering or IT operations. At least 5 years in a leadership role, managing engineering teams. Strong technical knowledge of end-user devices including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. Expertise in endpoint management solutions, operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android), and management tools (MS Intune, SCCM, Active Directory). Experience with automation of endpoint provisioning and management processes. Familiarity with virtualization, cloud technologies, and modern enterprise environments like Azure and Office 365. Understanding of endpoint security principles, including encryption and vulnerability management. Proven project delivery skills with an ability to meet timelines and budgets. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across various teams and levels, including IT leadership. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA: This position requires the ability to work in an office setting, including computer use, attending meetings, and teamwork. Regular attendance is essential.
