Job Description

Join Cardinal Health's Nuclear Pharmacy team! In Pharmacy Operations, we are dedicated to providing safe and effective pharmaceutical services to a range of health care providers, including hospitals and specialty clinics. As part of our Nuclear Pharmacy division, you'll play a vital role in delivering radiopharmaceuticals and other medications under strict regulatory guidelines, advising healthcare professionals on the safe use of radioactive drugs. Shift/Schedule: Work 40 hours per week, with a mix of days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities. Expect 30% - 50% travel to support various locations. Be flexible with your hours to meet business needs. Your Responsibilities: Provide exceptional pharmaceutical care, including compounding nuclear medications and ensuring quality testing. Manage pharmacy inventory effectively to maintain drug availability and mitigate supply risks. Optimize internal workflows and staffing to enhance pharmacy operations. Contribute to efforts in reducing costs and improving efficiency while supporting business growth. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and assist in demand planning for drug components. Handle administrative tasks to support pharmacy operations and customer interactions. Oversee facility operations if required, including acting as Pharmacist in Charge. Perform additional job-related duties to meet department goals, including delivering doses when necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD is required. Must have or be in the process of obtaining a valid Pharmacist's license. Licensure in TN, MS, and AL is necessary or should be achieved within 6 months. Willing to travel for coverage as needed. Knowledge of biohazardous waste management is essential. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and health professionals. Excellent customer service skills are a must. Manual dexterity for medication dispensing and ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Valid driver's license and comfort driving in various weather conditions are required. Intermediate computer skills needed to navigate technology. Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, and be part of on-call and holiday rotations. Prior Authorized User certification is preferred, but training can be provided.
