Position SummaryWe are seeking an Embedded Product Development Engineer to help design, develop, and support embedded software for new and existing ProMinent control equipment. In this role, you’ll be collaborating closely with Engineering, Technical Services, Sales, and our global corporate development teams to deliver high quality, reliable solutions that reflect the ProMinent brand.What You’ll Do:• Design, write, and maintain embedded software for 16 bit and 32 bit microcontrollers.• Perform functional hardware testing of PCBs and complete devices.• Develop GUI/MMI interfaces and navigation logic for controller programming and display.• Collaborate with our Product Management and Development teams at our headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany on joint projects.• Partner with Technical, Engineering, Sales, and Product teams to meet design, performance, and customer requirements.• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.• Create and maintain technical documentation, test procedures, release notes, and support materials• Stay informed on competitor products and market activity.What We’re Looking For:• Experience with the full lifecycle of embedded software development.• Strong proficiency in C and C++.• Knowledge of ARM-based embedded platforms.• Knowledge of modern RTOS concepts and hardware interfaces.• Experience with distributed version control systems (Git).• Familiarity with IDEs such as VS Code, Visual Studio, Eclipse, or Keil.• Ability to read and understand P&ID and electrical schematics.• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities.• Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.• Detail oriented and organized.• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.• Experience working with complex or multi product portfolios.• Candidates must be able to work on-site at our location in RIDC Park West office during standard business hours.As part of our commitment to safety and integrity, employment with ProMinent is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check.
