divh2Journeyman Service Electrician/h2pInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment in commercial, institutional and industrial facilities. Ensure electrical systems and related equipment are working efficiently, properly and affordably./ppWhat youll do:/pol start=1liEvaluate customer needs and make recommendations for correction and/or improvement./liliInstall, remove, maintain, and repair electrical systems and related equipment./liliMeasure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools threaders, and hand or mechanical benders./liliInstall and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints./liliTroubleshoot and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems and equipment./liliOperate any hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks./liliUnderstand and instruct assigned helpers in the safe operation of tools and equipment, electrical principles, and applicable codes./liliRespond directly to customer questions, explain services provided, and provide Dispatch with detailed summary of related costs for billing purposes./liliComplete all required paperwork in a timely and professional manner./liliAssist Service Sales with customer scope development, technical analysis/support for retrofits, upgrades and/or enhancements to existing equipment./liliMentor/train assisting apprentices./liliPerform all work within the confines of Brandts safety rules and regulations./liliPerform additional assignments as requested/needed./li/olpWhat youll need to be successful:/pulliHigh school degree (or GED); successful completion of 5-year electrical apprenticeship program preferred/liliActive Texas Journeyman Electrical license/liliOSHA-10 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire)/liliValid Texas Driver License and clean driving record/liliAbility to read blueprints, layout plans and wiring diagrams/liliProficient at inspecting, troubleshooting, and making repairs on electrical systems/liliAbility to effectively manage time and complete delegated work within specified timeframe/liliAbility to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people/liliAbility to work within precise standards of accuracy/liliAbility and willingness to follow oral and written directions/liliAbility to successfully pass pre-employment drug-screen and physical tests/liliMust be available to be on stand-by and work intermittently during evenings, weekends, and holidays./liliEmployment is contingent upon satisfying all jobsite-specific access requirements, with no outstanding restrictions from any jobsite or from working with any of Brandts partnering General Contractors, Owners, Customers, etc./li/ulpWhat you bring to the table:/ppCommercial Service Experience, Journeyman License Electrical/ppThe Brandt Companies were created under the leadership of Barry Moore and Mark Zilbermann in an ever-expanding quest to provide our clients with on-time, in-budget construction service, complete commissioning assistance, and long-term facilities maintenance.
