Class A CDL Driver w/ HazmatWe are seeking a dependable and organized Class A truck driver who possesses a great deal of physical and mental stamina who thrives working local and long hauls and can consistently ensure safe and accurate deliveries. Must be detail-oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record.Class A Truck Driver Job Duties and Responsibilities Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicleDrive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.Pull a towed weight exceeding 10,000-40,000+ lbs.Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unitTransport goods, livestock, etc. from the place of origin to assigned destinationPick-up loads and organizes goods in an ordered, logical mannerEnsure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damageSafely and efficiently handle and unload goods at selected destinationsObtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clientsAssist in mapping delivery routesStay on a predetermined route and ensure timely deliveriesCommunicate with dispatch as neededConfirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest documentPerform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each tripCheck weather conditions and road reports before departureAlways ensure your vehicle is kept cleanMaintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encounteredFollow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate timesMaintain detailed driving and delivery logsCertify LogsTrack and report working hoursAdhere to company rules and regulationsObey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditionsComply with ICC and DOT, FMCSA regulationsMake safety a priority at all times Class A Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent preferredValid Class A driver's license required2+ years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferredClean driving record with no moving violationsMust pass a background check and drug testSkilled at driving large vehiclesComfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailerAlert, focused, and detail-orientedPhysically and mentally fitAbility to lift up to 75 lbs. at a timeAble to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.Proficient using GPS and other routing systemsAn innate sense of directionDisciplined, dependable, and resourcefulHigh level of composure and good stress managementHazmat CertificationDouble, triples, tankers preferred
