About the Role: This vital leadership role on Confluent's corporate finance team reports directly to the Director of Corporate FP&A. You will ensure the accuracy of financial forecasting, focusing on P&L, headcount, and cash flow. Additionally, you will provide strategic insights to guide financial decision-making. The position involves updating and optimizing a complex forecasting model monthly and synthesizing cash flow trends for quarterly executive and board meetings. This role necessitates cross-functional collaboration with Treasury, Accounting, and Operations. What You Will Do: Take the initiative to manage forecasts by analyzing variances, uncovering insights, and communicating key risks, opportunities, and business drivers. Regularly present findings to key finance leaders, including the CFO, SVP of Finance, and VP of Corporate FP&A. Refine and maintain driver-based financial models to analyze historical and projected expenditures and profitability. Establish strong cross-functional relationships to enhance forecast accuracy, improve processes and automation, and ensure rigor in measuring business performance. Deliver quantitative and qualitative analyses with precision and efficiency. What You Will Bring: BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 5+ years of financial experience in a SaaS company, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or a similar environment. Strong expertise in financial analysis and model construction. Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets/Slides. What Gives You an Edge: Demonstrated success in fast-paced environments. Strategic thinking regarding profitability drivers. Hands-on experience with Business Planning tools such as Anaplan.
