Primary ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership:Design, install, and certify enterprise-grade structured cabling systems for data centers, corporate campuses, and critical facilitiesLead installation of high-performance copper and fiber optic infrastructure including Cat6a, Cat8, and OM3/OM4/OS2 fiberPerform advanced troubleshooting of network cabling issues using spectrum analyzers, TDRs, and fiber inspection equipmentConduct site surveys and create detailed scope of work documentationDevelop cable pathway designs and review architectural drawingsEnsure all installations meet or exceed TIA/EIA standards and customer specificationsTeam Development:Train and mentor junior and mid-level techniciansConduct safety training and toolbox talksPerform quality inspections of team installationsAssist with technical hiring and skills assessmentsRequired Qualifications5+ years of structured cabling experience with increasing responsibilityCalifornia C-7 Low Voltage Systems Contractor License (REQUIRED) OR ability to obtain within 12 monthsMinimum 4 years journey-level experience in low voltage systems (within last 10 years)Must be 18+ years oldMust pass C-7 Trade Exam and California Business and Law ExamBICSI Installer 2 Certification (RCDD or BICSI Technician preferred)Expert-level knowledge of TIA-568, TIA-569, and TIA-606 standardsExtensive experience with fiber optic installation, splicing, and testingProficiency with enterprise-grade testing equipment (Fluke DSX-8000, OTDR, fiber inspection scopes)Demonstrated project leadership experience managing teams of 2-4 techniciansStrong client relationship and communication skillsValid California driver's license with clean recordAbility to obtain security clearances for government/defense projectsUnderstanding California C-7 LicenseWhat is the C-7 License?
