Opportunity: Seeking Safety Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 Location: Elgin, Hampshire, Sycamore, and Bellwood The Safety Engineering Intern supports the company EHS program to protect and enhance workplace safety and will assist the EHS Manager on specific projects in that support. Responsibilities: Conduct annual confined space audits. Conduct annual hazardous chemical inventory audit. Conduct annual lockout tagout procedure audits. Observe operations, review and revise Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to identify potential hazards and define control measures and safe work practices. Other duties as may be assigned. Education: Upper classman undergraduate, recent graduate, or graduate student in Industrial Engineering or Technology, Industrial Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Skills and Competencies: Self-starter, team player, ability to work independently. Passion for safety and desire to make a difference. Strong organizational and project management skills Strong (verbal, written, interpersonal) communications skills. Strong time management skills. Abilities to organize, prioritize, and complete tasks to meet deadlines. Positive "can do" attitude. Attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
