Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and documentation of standard processes and best practices for Distribution Center (DC) operations, ensuring adherence across the entire network. Maintain updated process documentation accessible to all DCs. Oversee the Labor Management program throughout the DC network by establishing and maintaining engineered labor standards and developing a performance-based incentive program for associates. Direct the design, operation, and support of Labor Management systems in collaboration with IT and system vendors to enhance functionality. Identify opportunities for improvement in DC operations, literature, equipment, and overall cost reduction, encouraging cross-functional collaboration to implement changes effectively. Manage the Slotting Program, coordinating with Store Operations to design and document slotting strategies while ensuring efficient training and application across DCs. Develop and monitor the annual departmental budget, evaluate savings, and oversee the capital budget execution by partnering with DC Operations leaders. Support the planning, design, and startup of new DCs, collaborating with Facilities teams to implement necessary systems. Recruit, train, and guide a team of Industrial Engineers and Subject Matter Experts within the DCs, providing feedback for growth and ensuring alignment with Supply Chain priorities. Establish collaborations with external partners to foster innovation and benchmark performance while enhancing internal capabilities. Analyze and report on Distribution operations performance, guiding DC management teams with actionable insights and metrics for continuous improvement. Facilitate the optimization and automation of essential reporting tools and support implementation across the DC network. Manage ongoing operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement projects within Petco Distribution centers. Mentor leadership teams on performance measurement and process enhancements using Six Sigma methodologies. Lead project teams in the development and execution of new programs and process improvements adhering to Petco’s project management standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution. A minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in a retail distribution environment, including at least 3 years in a management role within a collaborative team setting. Experience in developing and maintaining labor standards and performance incentive programs. Familiarity with Warehouse and Labor Management systems; experience with Manhattan Systems preferred. Strong knowledge of Labor Management practices and advanced understanding of retail distribution center operations. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills are essential for success in this role. Note: Responsibilities are subject to change based on evolving business needs and priorities.
