Job Responsibilities Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess each patient's unique needs and craft individualized therapy strategies to facilitate their functional goals. Collaborate with Diverse Teams: Work in tandem with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to provide holistic care that encompasses every aspect of the patient's wellbeing. Educate Patients and Their Families: Guide patients and their loved ones in therapy techniques that sustain progress long after treatment sessions conclude. Track and Adapt Treatments: Monitor patient developments and amend treatment plans as necessary, ensuring they remain on the path to recovery. Education Requirements Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution is mandatory. Opportunities for continuing education and advanced certifications are encouraged and supported. Certification Requirements Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license is essential. NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is a requirement.
