Wall Panel Designer / QC Specialist

Wall Panel Designer / QC Specialist Responsibilities & Duties Develop detaileddrawings and plans for curtainwall and load bearing wall panel structures usingRevit, Strucsoft MWF and other BIM based software. Collaborate withproject managers, engineers, and other stakeholders (client) to ensureaccuracy, constructability and completeness of plans Check and verifydesign calculations, specifications, and other technical documents Ensure all workcomplies with industry standards, codes, and regulations Communicate withclients and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure timelycompletion of projects Participate in thereview and approval process for projects, making recommendations forimprovements as needed Wall Panel Designer / QC Specialist Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degreein Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field Proficiency in CADsoftware such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or Strucsoft MWF Strongunderstanding of building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations Ability tounderstand/read Architectural, Structural, MEP drawings and shop drawings fromother contractors Experience with 3Dmodeling software Excellentcommunication and collaboration skills Previous experiencein the construction or steel fabrication industry Strongproblem-solving skills and attention to detail High school diplomaor equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in engineering or arelated field preferred 2-5 years ofexperience in steel detailing, or related experience in the construction orengineering industries Strong knowledge ofsteel fabrication, welding, and construction methods Excellent writtenand verbal communication skills Ability to workindependently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-drivenenvironment KeyCompetencies The ability toachieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern forall areas involved. The ability tomanage one's internal states, impulses and resources. WorkEnvironment The workenvironment will consist mainly of a normal, climate controlled, officeenvironment. Periodic visitation to the prefabrication shop will be required.
