Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN - Nashville, TNJOB TITLE: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) LOCATION: Nashville TN - Detox Center SCHEDULE: Full Time / All Shifts available include 7a-7p / 7p-7a with rotating weekend shift coverage SALARY: $28.00/hour plus Overtime and Shift Differential Licensed Practical Nurse Summary Provides care for clients dealing with co-occurring disorders in a detox setting located in Nashville TN ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Takes client's vital signs, treats wounds, and evaluates physical condition of clients as needed in emergency situations Maintains record of persons treated, and prepares incident reports Completes client medical history to be added to the clinical record Performs tuberculosis testing on all clients at time of admission and employees and makes appropriate referrals for individual's exhibiting S/S of TB or presenting with positive TB test Is responsible for the follow-up and documentation of medical information into the client's clinical record Completes the medical admission process and assists the medical records department, as needed Is available to answer medical questions after hours as needed by on-call staff Performs other duties as required or needed QUALIFICATIONS An Active Unencumbered Nursing License in the State of Tennessee, required Must have strong computer skills with ability to type 30 wpm Must demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills and strong organizational skills with paperwork Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications (required). Must pass background check and drug screening (required).
