Join Our Team! SimVentions is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Red Team Penetration Tester to enhance our offensive cybersecurity operations for U.S. Government and DoD systems. Contract Information: This position is contingent upon the award of a contract, expected in August 2026. Travel: Minimal travel required Security Clearance: An ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility is mandatory. Only U.S. Citizens eligible for classified information access will be considered. Requirements: Five years of hands-on experience in software engineering relevant to program development within DoD or IT systems. Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments. Strong knowledge of common Penetration Testing (PENTEST) tools including Kali, Metasploit, NMAP, and Cobalt Strike. Experience with Red Team Operations and tool/software development, such as exploits/malware and C2. Programming skills in languages like Python, C, C#, C++, Go, Perl, and Powershell. Expertise in web development, application penetration testing, and securing web services. Familiarity with NSX, vCenter, vRealize Suite, and Horizon View. Understanding of PAN-OS and network security products like FirePower and ASA. Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), SSO, MFA, and identity management services. Experience in automating processes using tools like PowerAutomate and Graph API. Hands-on experience with AWS, cloud audit, and microservices architecture. Participated in Capture the Flag (CTF) events or contributed to security research resulting in CVEs. Minimum of one relevant certification such as Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, or SSCP. At least one penetration testing certification from recognized organizations. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough debugging and reverse engineering of software applications. Analyze and inspect logs from Windows Events and Linux syslogs. Develop and manage Web 2.0 applications and GUIs using industry-standard tools. Identify and recommend software modifications to mitigate vulnerabilities. Operatively manage computer systems across various operating platforms. Perform code reviews and static source code analysis for security improvements. Contribute to a comprehensive System Security Manual. Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Compensation: The projected annual compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $150,000, reflective of experience, education, and expertise.
