Job Description As a Registered Nurse with International SOS, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional health services to Department of State, Department of Defense, and contractor personnel. Your responsibilities will entail a holistic approach to patient care, particularly for those requiring acute medical or surgical interventions. You will ensure compliance with established standards of care, and utilize your clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, document, and evaluate patient care across various settings, especially when critical interventions are necessary. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical and mental health. Collect and analyze patient histories, vital signs, and diagnostic information. Create individualized care plans tailored to patient assessments and healthcare needs. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians. Provide direct patient care including wound care, IV therapy, and monitoring of vital signs. Educate patients on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care practices. Offer emotional support to patients and families during challenging situations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records documenting care provided. Ensure compliance with all project site protocols and mandatory training requirements. Be prepared for on-call duties and respond to emergencies as needed. Complete all required compliance education for certification and regulatory standards. Qualifications Basic Requirements/Certifications: A current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in any U.S. State or Territory. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 6 months in the past year; experience in austere environments is a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Prior experience on military sites as a contractor is preferred. Education Required: Associates, Bachelor, or Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited nursing program. Physical Requirements: Must meet pre-deployment physical standards. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods. May involve bending and lifting up to 25 lbs. Other Special Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is mandatory. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Willingness to relocate for the role. Must possess a valid U.S. Passport with at least 18 months until expiration. Additional Information International SOS is an equal opportunity employer. Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000 Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and market data, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
