Manual Lathe Machinist

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Lathe Machinist with VTL experience to join our team. This position is responsible for machining, repairing, and refurbishing components used in industrial equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities: Set up and operate manual lathes and VTL (Vertical Turret Lathe) machines Machine parts to specifications based on blueprints and work orders Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Measure, inspect, and verify dimensions using precision measuring tools Repair and modify industrial equipment components as needed Maintain machines, tooling, and a clean, safe work area Follow all safety and quality standards Requirements: Proven experience operating manual lathes and/or VTL machines Strong understanding of machining techniques, tolerances, and materials Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Preferred Qualifications: Experience machining large or heavy components Basic milling experience a plus Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Saturday, 6am-6pm
