Responsibilities Critical Care Unit (CVICU) in a hospital setting Patient population includes post-op open heart surgery patients requiring advanced hemodynamic monitoring and support Experience with Impella and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) is utilized in this role Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week) Every other weekend availability required At least one holiday must be covered No on-call responsibilities Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation), including patient and family education and communication with the healthcare team Online orientation modules must be completed and passed prior to start date, typically completed onsite one week before the start date Blocked scheduling is not permitted Up to 1 week of RTO may be requested COVID vaccination is required to work at this facility 13-week contract Requirements Active Michigan (MI) RN license required Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU experience required Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required Proficiency with Impella and IABP required Ability to care for post-op open heart patients required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-677003.
