Job Summary Our client is seeking a Payment Poster responsible for meticulously analyzing overpayments made to patient accounts, conducting thorough research on payment history, and determining appropriate financial transactions to process refunds or corrections. This role ensures accurate handling of credit balances in accordance with healthcare policies, insurance regulations, and organizational standards. Key Responsibilities Analyze overpayments on patient accounts. Conduct thorough research on the payment history of accounts. Determine appropriate financial transactions for refunds or corrections. Ensure accurate handling of credit balances per healthcare policies and standards. Qualifications Preferably, at least five (5) years of experience working within a hospital business office or in a medical-related administrative role. Knowledge or experience working with a variety of healthcare insurance payers is preferred. Intermediate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook, is required. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Experience in calling on commercial insurance accounts. Cash and payment posting experience. Previous clean-up project experience. Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
