Core Responsibilities: Safety Program Excellence & Implementation: Drive comprehensive safety initiatives with data-driven strategies. Conduct daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments; implement innovative solutions to prevent injuries. Provide engaging safety training that resonates with associates and promotes a proactive safety culture. Champion continuous improvement efforts that boost workplace safety while keeping operational efficiency intact. Associate Advocacy & Cultural Leadership: Act as a trusted safety advisor and advocate for associate wellbeing, cultivating strong partnerships across all organizational levels. Promote a culture where safety is a collective priority through effective communication, coaching, and positive reinforcement. Build strong relationships with frontline associates and leadership to inspire behavioral changes and ensure safety best practices become ingrained habits. Transform safety data into compelling stories that promote engagement in safety initiatives. Additional Requirements: Lift up to 49 pounds; frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach. Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts. Work in environments with varying noise levels. Be exposed to variable temperatures and weather conditions (outside loading departments included). Continuously climb and descend stairs (where applicable). Provide effective care during emergencies and assist with emergency response on-site. Must be available for flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. If you do not have an adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, you will need to obtain it within three weeks of your start date. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of experience in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) role, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or six months experience in a safety-related role at Amazon. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910. Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional context. Ability to maintain confidentiality in matters related to security and personnel issues in the workplace. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or higher, ideally in a safety-related field. Strong skills in communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus. Experience in leading and managing a team, analyzing accident data and processes for potential safety issues, and conducting job hazard and safety analyses. Background in emergency response with current First Aid and CPR certifications. Experience in workers' compensation case management. The base pay for this position ranges from $52,400 to $76,500 annually based on geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
