Position Type: Substitute/Substitute Nurse Date Posted: 1/28/2026 Location: Florham Park Board of Education Substitute School Nurse Requirements: Hold a valid New Jersey RN Licensure Preferred: Valid NJ School Nurse Certification from the NJ Department of Education Expertise in school health nursing practice and emergency procedures Record of successful school nurse experience preferred Knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, wellness education, community health and social service resources, and current health issues Excellent oral and written communication skills Responsibilities including, but not limited to: Performs the school nurse functions of administering health care service to students Administers the required health screening for students Administers medications following procedural guidelines Compiles and maintains the cumulative health record for each student in the building to assure accurate and complete health records are available Provides emergency or immediate first aid, initiates the incident/accident report, and follows-up on all personnel injured on school property
