Position Purpose: The On-Site Accounting Supervisor oversees accounting activities, including accounts receivable and cash receipts, cash disbursements, and month-end accounting close activities. The role prepared for timely and accurate financial reporting as well as year-end audits and budgeting process. Essential Functions: Administer proper accounting regulations. Analyze and resolve problems within the finance function. Analyze, understand and explain variations of actual results from budget/forecast. Assist in preparing in-depth budgets and forecasts. Assist with the completion of month-end and year-end closes, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Demonstrate problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills. Develop financial models, analyze variances, and generate monthly reporting packages with commentary to support the trends of the division. Develop and manage P&L. Document and implement accounting processes and procedures. Lead the preparation of annual financial plan and quarterly forecasts. Prepare and track margin analysis and cost reductions for new project programs. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with employees, vendors and customers. Demonstrate experience with standard cost accounting and general accounting. Maintain Finance functions within the company's key systems. Participate in financial standards setting and forecast process. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and projects as requested. Play a critical role in the preparation of supporting documents and analysis for the annual audit. Effectively manage priorities, projects, and people in a fast-paced environment. Exercise independent judgement in performing and completing tasks with minimal oversight. Work with various departments to manage budgets, expenditures, and analysis as requested. Results oriented, accountability, critical thinking, problem solving, project and change management. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Have interpersonal skills including tact, patience and courtesy. Education and Training: BS/BA degree in accounting or economics required Accounting certification (CMA or CPA) preferred Minimum Qualifications: 5-7 years of progressive accounting responsibility. Cost analysis in a manufacturing/machining environment strongly preferred. Experience in standard cost systems strongly preferred. Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze and interpret data required. 3+ years of experience developing variable burden and fixed overhead rates preferred. 3+ years of experience developing cost quotes on existing and new products preferred. Familiarity with General Accounting required (A/P, Payroll, General Ledger). Solid PC and mainframe software skill (MS Office, MRP, Ledger, Query) required. Physical Demands: Frequent sitting and working at computer for extended periods of time. Occasional standing and walking on concrete. Occasional climbing stairs. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
