About the Role: Join CBRE as a Senior Building Engineer Supervisor, where you'll lead a dedicated team responsible for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs across retail sites. Your leadership will ensure that the team achieves key performance indicators (KPIs), adheres to budget goals, and fosters a proactive, service-oriented culture. What You Will Do: Team Leadership & Staff Development Track and enhance the training and development of staff; conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching. Oversee the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new team members. Coordinate daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and encourage cross-training among staff. Mentor team members to build their technical and professional capabilities. Conduct regular team meetings to reinforce standardized processes and procedures. Train and onboard new hires, ensuring they're well-equipped with tools, PPE, and training. Manage timecards, PTO requests, and technician headcount reporting effectively. Develop and maintain on-call schedules for technicians and approve expense reports. Operations & Work Order Management Review, prioritize, reassign, and re-code work orders (WOs) to maximize efficiency and budget management. Collaborate with the Facilities Coordinator to oversee WO reassignment and vendor coordination. Monitor WO status in ServiceChannel and address escalations promptly. Support technicians by providing necessary parts, tools, and resources, and approve requests for new or replacement equipment. Participate in WO grading and provide constructive feedback to technicians. Create child WOs and self-generated WOs as needed. Lead monthly planning to guarantee the completion of preventive maintenance (PMs). Budget & KPI Oversight Drive regional teams towards meeting account KPIs and budget targets. Maximize self-performance and effectively manage aging WO inventory. Control overtime budgets and assess the impact of reassignments. Develop accurate material and labor cost estimates for WOs, PMs, and projects. Strategically balance WO volume and costs through effective reassignment to third-party vendors. Quality Assurance & Safety Actively participate in the Quality Assurance Program and conduct monthly inspections of stores. Review completed WOs for quality assurance and compliance. Recommend additional training and development opportunities for technicians. Ensure adherence to safety procedures and perform regular checks on equipment and PPE. Complete all assigned Store QA Inspection PMs and provide direct feedback to technicians. Provide field support for complex tasks and travel to assist technicians as needed. Respond to regional emergencies and act as the on-scene commander for disaster response. Strategic Leadership & Communication Utilize advanced knowledge to improve operational methods and achieve departmental objectives. Lead by example and embody the CBRE RISE values. Communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively influence stakeholders across various disciplines. Contribute to the development of new processes, standards, and operational plans. What You'll Need: High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of relevant experience. A mix of education and experience is acceptable in lieu of a diploma. Supervisory experience is preferred. Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying loads of 50 lbs. or more. Possess an innovative mindset to develop methods that surpass existing solutions. Ability to resolve unique problems with standard and innovative solutions impacting the business broadly. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and Apple products; familiarity with Service Channel is a plus. Exceptional organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset. Advanced mathematical proficiency for calculating complex figures, including percentages and financial-related calculations. The minimum salary for the Senior Building Engineer Supervisor position is $126,100 annually, and the maximum salary is $138,710 annually. Compensation offered to successful candidates will depend on individual skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's benefit program.
