ARNP | Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview: This role offers psychological testing, therapy, consultation, and medication management services aimed at enhancing mental health for patients within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest. The practitioner serves as a valuable resource to physicians, hospital staff, and the community by promoting awareness of psychological principles beneficial for individual and group care. Work Schedule: This is an on-site position with options for either 36 or 40 hours per week during day shifts. Education: Must hold a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) credential. Licensed or license-eligible to provide medical care within the state. Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association) certification is required prior to employment or within 30 days of hire and must be maintained. Experience: Preferred: At least one year of experience demonstrating competence in evaluation and medication management services. Skills and Competencies: Ability to build rapport and consult effectively with all levels of medical and health center staff. Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Exhibits strong socialization skills and appropriate interaction with staff and diverse clientele, even under stressful conditions. Models a stable lifestyle and personality, free from psychological or substance abuse impairments that could affect job performance. Willingness to cooperate with formal, independent psychological evaluation if concerns arise. Adheres to organizational personnel policies.
