JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Manager is responsible for the operational management of his/her designated unit. Implicit in this statement is indicated responsibility for the supervision, direction, and support of all staff on that unit. Demonstrates leadership ability and serves as a role model for clinical practice. QUALIFICATIONS: Satisfactory work experience, demonstrating nursing knowledge and skill, interest, leadership, and willingness to accept responsibility. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Oklahoma. Minimum of 2 years' experience in area of nursing supervision. Preferably one year's management experience. Preferably BSN or CNOR. Lives within 20 minutes of hospital and able to cover call schedule in staffing emergencies. Current CPR card or completion within 30 days of employment. Current ACLS certification or completion within 1 year of employment preferred. Current PALS certification or completion within 1 year of employment preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections. Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials. Demonstrates adequate vision to prepare and process information, supervise practice of employees, and monitor the environment. Must be able to talk and hear to converse with others, in person and over the telephone. Demonstrates adequate stamina to deal with stressful situations and to complete necessary work schedule. Must be able to triage multiple tasks/events; prioritize and make decisions quickly under stressful situations with accuracy.
