UI/UX Designer

Job Title: UI/UX DesignerLocation: Houston, TX (Hybrid) Pay rate: $95-$105/hourDuration: 12 Months ( Portfolio Link Must be on Resume) The UI/UX Designer is a creative and detail oriented position that focuses on designing intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user experiences for enterprise applications. The role will collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to translate ideas into user centric designs that drive adoption and usability. Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Design, HCI (Human-Computer Interaction), or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3-6 years of experience in UI/UX design for web or enterprise applications. Demonstrated proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD). Demonstrated experience implementing design thinking principles and ability to create personas and user journeys. Familiarity with front end web development languages like Angular and ReactJS. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Responsibilities: Design Thinking Hands on experience drawing out and documenting user personas with customers Hands on experience helping shape customer rough ideas into detailed product specifications. Hands on experience with AI use cases Design Execution Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma or Adobe XD. Translate business requirements into intuitive user flows and interface designs. Collaborate with product owners and technical leads to understand application personas, user needs, and application logic. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with engineers and product managers to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with business goals. Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., PI planning, sprint reviews) to stay aligned with delivery timelines.Continuous Improvement Incorporate feedback from conducting usability testing, stakeholder reviews, and analytics to refine designs. Monitor user adoption and propose design changes to improve engagement and usability.Design System Utilization Ensure consistency across platforms by adhering to Enterprise UI/UX standards. Selection Criteria: 1. Experience with UI/UX for the oil and gas, or process, industries. a. Strong portfolio showcasing interaction design and UI/UX projects. 2. Strong technical foundation in: a. Design thinking principles for Software Products: i. Persona development ii. Requirements gathering iii. Adoption analysis iv. User Interviewing v. Design Ideation b. Familiarity/Experience with Front End Web Technologies (Angular, ReactJS) c. Low Fidelity Wireframing. d. High Fidelity, Developer Ready Wireframing e. Design Tools (Figma, AdobeXD) 3. Teamwork and Communication Skill: a. Demonstrates the ability to effectively work in a team environment, can work across functions to verify requirements and align on business objectives. b. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrates the ability to effectively work asynchronously across time zones. 4. Business Acumen: a. Demonstrated ability to quickly gain knowledge in business domains, data, workflows and processes. b. Experience translating business objectives and goals into interactive designs.
