Local Rate: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Client rates reduced by XX8.00/hour.MUST Haves: 1 year HOSPITAL experience. Retail experience will not work. BLS - Must be AHA. MN State Pharmacist license. General job duties. Types of procedures required. In a medical center or institutional setting, the Pharmacist reviews and interprets provider orders, provides drug information, assists in problem solving, and provides other aspects of pharmaceutical care. Duties may consist of unit dose dispensing, IV Admixtures, outpatient prescriptions, navigating the electronic medical record, compounding, and working with automated dispensing devices. The Pharmacist utilizes appropriate age-related patient information to assess the pharmaceutical needs of patients, which may include provision of pharmaceutical care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The Pharmacist follows all established regulations and standards that govern the practice of pharmacy. May be required to act as a shift supervisor under direct or indirect supervision by department managers. Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to learn and utilize new technology as the profession of pharmacy evolves. Provides oversight and clinical supervision for pharmacy services and pharmacy support personnel. Pharmacy services at Sanford Health may include involvement in acute care surgery, neurology, cardiology, pediatrics, oncology, infusion services, intensive care, general medicine, dialysis, transplant, antimicrobial stewardship, and medication reconciliation. May include decentralized clinical functions, such as direct patient interaction/interdisciplinary team rounding, chart reviews, customer or patient counseling, collecting accurate medication list. May also include centralized clinical functions, such as checking and dispensing medications and overseeing the clinical functions of the IV room Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. EPIC is our electronic health record. Omnicell is our medication cabinet manufacturer Required skills and minimum years of experience. Strongly encouraged to have at least one year inpatient pharmacist experience Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. BLS is required. ACLS is preferred. MN State license - must have at time of submission. Shift or schedule requirements. Training will be primarily M-F day shift 8 hours After training, shifts will be 8-on, 6-off 10 hour shifts. 7 straight evenings, 1 day shift. Wednesday-Wednesday (then off Thursday-Tuesday) Floating to over units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) No Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. Licensed 118 beds. Average census 80-90 patients Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. Training will be minimum 4 weeks. Goal is to assist pharmacist with being successful to take care of patients and work well amongst our pharmacy team. Training is intended to be well-rounded on the inpatient pharmacy practice. This position will cover both clinical and dispensing pharmacist duties
